Circumstances: In January 2010, State Police located his Jeep in Reading, Berks County, where it reportedly had been sold. In August 2010, the FBI's Underwater Search & Evidence Recovery Team searched Lake Somerset, a 250-acre lake northeast of Somerset Borough. A search of the Garrett home that Thomas shared with his wife and stepson revealed evidence of foul play. Contact with his sister stopped in September 2008.
