Circumstances: Barahona Paz is from Honduras and was 16 years old at the time of her 07-02-2008 diappearance from Port Royal borough, Juniata County, Pennsylvania.
Sometime in June 2008, after being briefly detained by immigration authorities, she came to live with relatives in Port Royal borough, Juniata County, Pennsylvania. She remained with these relatives for several weeks and then disappeared on 07-02-2008; her relatives called police approximately one week later. Barahona Paz did not speak English as of the date of her disappearance.
The Victim may have left Pennsylvania in the company of her boyfriend, then living in Alexandria, Virginia, because she feared deportation and did not want to remain with her relatives. Police follow-ups in Virginia have yielded no leads. Foul play is not indicated.
