Circumstances: On June 27, 1983 Ball packed 2 bags of her belongings and told her mother that she was going to New York. She left her mother's home at 5:30pm, on foot, en route to Boynton Beach, Fl to meet an unknown friend she said she was going to New York with, she left her bags behind. Ball called her mother that evening around 9:30pm asking for money for the trip. That was the last contact mother had with her. Ball's boyfriend said she called him on June 28 or 29 from a turck stop in Ashland, Virginia.
