Circumstances: Rodriguez was a co-pilot (rear) in a L-39 jet that is believed to have gone down in Lake Michigan. Don Schaller was the front pilot. They were the only two men aboard. The jet left Cherry Capital Airport at 6:30 pm and went off radar at 6:47 pm just south of the Fox Islands. Rodriguez was a flight instructor at Northwestern Michigan College since the 70's.
